One mortal man was granted immortality in this way, but he was forbidden from setting foot in middle earth ever again because of the special accommodation granted him. Treading on the sacred shores would grant the race of men immortality. The race of men was forbidden from the shores of Valinor because the Valar were not authorized to take the gift of mortality from the race of men. I do not think you are right about Valinor.
